Biography
Damián Halabi holds a postgraduate degree in Finance, a master’s in Economics, and is an Industrial Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Utilities sector.
He currently serves as New Business Manager in sectors such as renewable energy, urban passenger transport, water, and sanitation. His expertise includes planning, designing, and implementing commercial actions, technical-economic proposals, management, active participation in projects, and business management control.
He has coordinated and actively participated in projects analyzing the economic-financial balance of companies and concessions; renewable energy bids; project feasibility studies and company valuation; projects defining regulatory frameworks, contract renegotiation, and tariff studies; determination of the cost of capital rate (WACC – CAPM); and comparative studies for determining efficient costs and productivity factors (parametric models – OLS: Ordinary Least Squares, SFA: Stochastic Frontiers, and non-parametric – DEA: Data Envelopment Analysis).
These projects have been carried out in various countries and in the sectors of electric energy, natural gas, urban passenger transport, water, and sanitation.
Co-author of articles in books and academic publications on topics such as the cost of capital rate, efficient tariff structures, and efficiency estimation methodologies in electricity, water, and sanitation distribution companies.
Speaker at various seminars on public service regulation and in-company training for public service companies and Regulatory Agencies in Latin America.
