Biography
Agustín Damonte is a consultant at Quantum. He actively participates in Quantum’s New Business area, specifically in the renewable energy sector.
Since 2018, Agustín has been involved in the launch of Iris Energía, a company dedicated to the sale and installation of solar photovoltaic electrical generation systems. During this time, he participated in a study developed by Quantum for the Córdoba Public Services Regulatory Authority, aiming to incorporate community solar photovoltaic generation into the Distributed Generation Law.
Since then, Agustín has been involved in other studies related to Solar PV Generation and Distributed Generation. For the CRE in Bolivia, he participated in developing a simulation model for analyzing the feasibility of solar communities in Bolivia; he also contributed to a prefeasibility study for a large-scale solar park in the Province of Córdoba, among others.
Agustín actively seeks new consulting opportunities for Quantum in the renewable energy field. Targeted studies include topics such as renewable energy generation, implementation mechanisms, distributed generation, renewable energy regulatory frameworks, project analysis, and more.
He has participated in several consulting studies, notably:
• MARCH 2024 – DESIGN OF A PROGRAM FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SOLAR DG TO REPLACE ELECTRIC SUBSIDIES AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION MECHANISM IN PANAMA, PANAMA (IDB).
• AUGUST 2023 – BENCHMARKING FOR ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES FOR CIER, URUGUAY.
• JULY 2022 – R&D FOR NATURAL GAS OPERATIONAL SWAP FOR COMGÁS (SÃO PAULO GAS COMPANY), BRAZIL.
• NOVEMBER 2021 – REGULATORY ROADMAP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATURAL GAS SECTOR IN ECUADOR FOR PROMIGAS S.A. E.S.P, COLOMBIA.
Agustín is also actively involved in the Iris Energía venture, where he is a partner and a member of the Board responsible for decision-making.
In 2019, Agustín participated in Santander Río’s Emprendedor X entrepreneur competition with the idea of accelerating the Solar Community project with Iris Energía. The project was selected among the top 10 finalists, out of more than 400 projects.
