Biography
Andrea Carrazana Rivera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Business Management, and is a PhD candidate in Economic Sciences. She has been working at Quantum as a specialist consultant in the field of Economics since 2022.
Andrea has actively participated in academic research on quantitative methods applied to regulated markets and efficiency. She has also been involved in R&D projects related to electricity service quality (Grupo CPFL, Brazil) and consultancy projects on tariff reviews for electricity and gas (CRE, Bolivia; BahíaGas, Brazil; EDENOR and EDESUR, Argentina). Furthermore, she contributed to tariff methodology reviews, such as regulatory support for water valuation based on usage (Provincial Water Resources Administration, Córdoba, Argentina) and peak power displacement in electricity distribution (CRE, Bolivia). Andrea also participated in designing eligibility criteria for solar panel beneficiaries within a Renewable Energy project (IDB, Panama).
In addition, Andrea participates in the methodological design of benchmarking for the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Energy Integration Commission.
She has experience in applied research, having been involved in various academic research projects funded by national and international organizations, collaborating interdisciplinarily with other researchers. Andrea completed her doctoral studies with a fellowship from the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and is currently in the final stages of earning her PhD in Economic Sciences. During her academic training, she has presented at numerous national and international conferences and seminars, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she serves as a Macroeconomics I Professor in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, National University of Córdoba.
