Biography
Agustín Murillo is a consultant at Quantum, specializing in developing tools for engineering studies in electrical networks. His main role consists of simulating electrical energy networks under various load conditions to perform demand flow calculations, loss studies, investment planning, and network planning. These studies are divided into several stages: acquisition, preparation, processing, and presentation of data, each with specific processes carried out using Excel, Python, relational databases, GIS, and Visual Basic.
Additionally, Agustín has participated in the development of the website for the Quantum America Seminar and in the creation of interactive web dashboards for benchmarking studies of public services in Latin America, utilizing web tools like ReactJS and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
A topic of interest for him is the digitalization of the energy sector, from generation to transportation and end uses, which enable real-time monitoring and accurate demand forecasting.
The analysis of big data, technological advancements like blockchain, and the development of tools to understand these vast sets of information are essential for improving decision-making in this field. This perspective not only promotes economic optimization but also drives higher quality services, energy efficiency, and a significant reduction in environmental impact.
