Biography
Tomás Halabi has worked as a senior consultant at Quantum since 2020. His primary role is to provide support in processing and analyzing information for consulting projects and research on related topics. Additionally, he is conducting a research project to expand the company’s market presence in Europe.
In the natural gas sector, he has worked on projects involving companies from various countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru. His main projects include participation in International Benchmarking Studies for different natural gas distributors in Latin America; MTGás rate study in Brazil, which involved calculating revenue requirements, average margin, and tariff proposals for the next five-year period; Due Diligence for Bahiagás in Brazil to determine the company’s value; contributions to Vanti in Colombia regarding the application of the Stackelberg model in natural gas production, among others.
In the electricity sector, his main projects include a distribution benchmarking study prepared for the Supervisory Body for Investment in Energy and Mining (OSINERGMIN) in Peru.
He also participated in a distribution benchmarking study developed by the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER), involving several companies in Latin America (ongoing study); load characterization campaign study for the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC), Ukraine’s regulatory body; among others.
Finally, in renewable energy, he has developed as an Engineering Analyst at Iris Energía, where his primary activity was technical advising on both on-grid and off-grid photovoltaic systems for various projects. He also participated in the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program implemented by the Ministry of Public Services of Córdoba Province as an energy manager. Among other activities, he has contributed to the development of the energy diagnostics area within the company, created a model to assess a company’s energy efficiency, and refined the model used for photovoltaic system design.
